Ever dreamed of having afternoon tea while cozied up with adorable rescue cats? For residents of Herne Bay in Kent, that dream is becoming a reality.

Today at 10 am, the Cosy Cat Café opened for business, the very first of its kind in the area. It is the permanent home for 10 cats, adopted by the café’s owners from a charitable organization called Cats in Crisis.

Visitors to the café will be given valuable information on how to properly care for cats. In addition, patrons can give to the charity on site using the café’s donation boxes.

Of course, afternoon tea will be offered, along with cakes, coffee, and plenty of gluten-free and vegan options. The café’s management has worked to make the space feel comfortable and homey, both for the cats and their guests. You can lounge on a sofa with your tea or make use of the other cozy décor. The cats also have their own separate space apart from the dining room, and a relaxing outdoor area.

And, now that these affectionate rescue kitties have had almost a month to explore and get settled in their new home, the café’s team is currently taking bookings. Give them a call to make a reservation and keep up with them on their Facebook page!
